Solution To: Windows Firewall Cannot Change To Recommended Settings (Error 0x80070422)

Problem: User cannot change the Firewall settings to its recommended settings (Error 0x80070422).

Solution:
1. Click Start Button.
2. Type Services.
3. Right-click and select Run As Administrator.
4. Check if the Windows Firewall Service has been set to disabled.




5. Double-click and select Startup type as Automatic.



6. Go back to Firewall Window and click Use Recommended Settings button again. You should be able to do it this time.
